Oli Winton is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting in London. Oli is a member of the Strategic Communications segment and is based in London. He is one of our leaders in Public Affairs and Government Relations consultancy, specialising in parliamentary engagement campaigns and the workings of central government.
Oli has more than fifteen years of experience in public affairs and has also previously worked for two backbench MPs in the House of Commons, former US Senator Ted Kennedy and in the communications department of the World Bank in Washington D.C. He also worked with the Labour Party over the 2010 and 2015 election campaigns.
Oli has worked on a wide range of clients in consultancy, from assisting Nike with regulatory issues around the 2012 Olympics through to plans for the redistribution of RBS shares to the taxpayer by HM Treasury. At FTI Consulting he has supported and, in many cases continues to support, clients including Virgin Group, Macquarie Group, Leonardo Helicopters UK, Arora Group, MasterCard, William Hill and John Menzies PLC.
As well as Oli’s core public affairs work, he has also undertaken a variety of sports and leisure work at FTI Consulting. This includes supporting Usain Bolt’s technology investments, Saracens with their handling of sanctions regarding rugby’s salary cap, the acquisition of a Premier League football club, a project for AEG Europe as owners of London’s The O2 Arena and Sky Bet’s sponsorship of the EFL.
Outside of work, Oli is an elected committee member for MUST, the independent Manchester United supporters’ trust, and sits of the Corporate Advisory Committee for Street League, a national charity using sport to assist finding employment opportunities for young adults.
Oli holds a B.A. from the University of Leeds in Politics and Parliamentary Studies.
