Renjit Lal specializes in business operations management, cost optimization, process re-engineering, merger and acquisition diligence, divestiture and separation planning and post-deal integration. Mr. Lal has close to 25 years of experience and concentrates on the telecom, media & technology (“TMT”) industry.
Mr. Lal has worked on multiple performance improvement initiatives, including competitive market assessment, product development, shared services design and implementation, governance model and program management office definition, sourcing advisory and cloud migration.
On mergers and acquisition engagements, Mr. Lal has assessed assets for buyers and targets to identify synergies from markets, customers, process and technology to enable operational efficiency. For a healthcare technology provider in the revenue cycle management space, Mr. Lal was part of the integration management office, leading the strategy and assessment and development of the integration playbook.
For a travel and entertainment engagement, Mr. Lal was responsible for consolidating operations from three operating entities from prior acquisitions and migrating them to the SaaS model with re-engineered processes, a consolidated operating model and a unified technology platform.
Mr. Lal has conducted multiple pre-transaction buy-side and sell-side due diligence projects for private equity and corporate clients, such as leading an assessment for a technology client where he reviewed its technology platforms in regards to revenue, cost of operations, risk and complexity, and identifying underperforming assets. The recommendations from the assessment enabled divestiture of assets, resulting in improved cash position for the company. For a private equity client, he conducted buy-side due-diligence of a healthcare target to assess its technology systems from strategy, organization, cost of operations, compliance and risks.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Lal was a Senior Manager of Advisory Services at EY. Before that, he was the Director of Client Services at Maryville Technologies.
