Steve Harris

Steve Harris is a damages expert with more than 20 years’ experience focused on identifying and quantifying loss in the context of commercial disputes across a range of industries. Steve specialises in solving complex damages and accounting problems, including the identification and valuation of lost profits, the valuation of businesses and shareholdings, IFRS financial reporting and cost verification.

In 2013, Steve founded FTI Consulting’s Accounting & Valuation Expert Witness practice in the UAE, where he worked for almost 10 years. He is presently based in London. However, a sizeable proportion of Steve’s case portfolio remains related to disputes involving companies, assets or projects located in the Arabian Gulf. Against this context, he is frequently instructed on disputes involving owner-operator relationships, joint ventures, real estate development and construction projects, distribution agreements and transactions for the sale and purchase of businesses.

Steve has been instructed as an expert in ADCCAC, Australian Federal Court, CAS, CRCICA, DIAC, DIFC Court, DIFC-LCIA, Hong Kong Court, ICC, ICSID, LCIA, UK High Court, SIAC, Swiss Federal Court and UNCITRAL proceedings. He has given oral evidence on approximately 20 occasions.
