About Dr. Timothy
Timothy Gardiner’s practice predominantly involves the provision of accounting, economic and valuation advice in arbitration, litigation and competition proceedings, both in the UK and internationally across a range of fora including inter alia the High Court of England and Wales and tribunals convened under LCIA, ICC, UNCITRAL and ad hoc rules.
In particular, Timothy has significant experience in the quantification of damages arising from disputes such as breach of contract / warranty, anti-competitive practices, the expropriation of assets (including investor-state disputes), regulatory decisions and intellectual property disputes, as well as in the provision of advice relating to technical accounting matters in post-acquisition disputes, expert determinations and regulatory and competition proceedings.
Although Timothy provides advice across a wide range of industries, as a result of his academic research and his work in the NHS before his career in economic consulting, Timothy has a keen interest in particular in matters involving the life sciences, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
Timothy has provided oral expert evidence before the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority and provided written expert evidence before the UK’s Competition Appeals Tribunal.
