FTI Consulting Appoints Senior Investigative Journalist Duncan Mavin
London, 20 April 2026 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Duncan Mavin as a Managing Director within the Strategic Communications segment. In this role at FTI Consulting, he will join the firm’s Crisis & Litigation Communications team, advising clients facing complex, high-stakes situations.
Based in London, Mr. Mavin is an internationally recognised investigative journalist, author and media strategist with a career spanning leading global news organisations, including Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. He brings deep expertise in uncovering complex financial and corporate issues, alongside a strong understanding of how organisations operate under intense public, political and regulatory scrutiny.
Mr. Mavin is the author of critically acclaimed, best-selling books Meltdown: Scandal, Sleaze and the Collapse of Credit Suisse and The Pyramid of Lies, the definitive account of the Greensill scandal. His reporting and editing has shaped global coverage of major financial controversies, and he has extensive experience leading international editorial teams and delivering high-impact investigative journalism.

Mr. Mavin joins FTI Consulting’s growing Crisis & Litigation Communications team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”), which advises clients on a wide range of complex issues, including crisis situations, cyber incidents, regulatory investigations and litigation. The team develops and implements stakeholder engagement strategies and multichannel communication plans to support clients during periods of heightened reputational risk and transformation.
