FTI Consulting Continues Investment in Transaction Services Practice
Scott Crawford and Kannan Arasaratnam Join as Managing Directors
WASHINGTON, D.C., NOV. 1, 2018 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced that it has continued its investment in offerings across the deal life cycle with the addition of Scott Crawford and Kannan Arasaratnam as Managing Directors in the Transaction Services practice within the firm’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment.
“Investors are seeking services that go beyond executing a deal and can help drive value from a successful transition and integration leveraging industry insights and knowledge,” said David Smalstig, Co-Leader of the U.S. Transaction Services practice at FTI Consulting. “Scott and Kannan bring real-world industry operational expertise and consulting experience that adds to our depth of talent as we continue to bolster our industry-focused platform.”
Mr. Crawford, who is based in Chicago, has more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”), valuation assessment and organizational transformation. He has significant experience with joint ventures, financial planning and analysis, post-transaction transitions and merger integration.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Crawford was Vice President of Corporate Development at Ardagh Group, previously Rexam PLC, a global consumer packaging leader operating more than 100 glass and metal manufacturing facilities in 22 countries. During his 13 years at Ardagh Group and Rexam, Mr. Crawford led acquisitions, integration, transformations, divestitures, carve-outs and transitions. Prior to joining Ardagh Group, Mr. Crawford was a Partner in the Transaction Advisory Services practice at EY.
Mr. Arasaratnam, who is based in New York, has nearly 20 years of experience advising public and private companies on complex M&A transactions across a range of industries, including automotive, manufacturing, technology and telecommunications. He has provided financial due diligence, transaction support and M&A advisory services to leading private equity funds and strategic investors on deals valued up to $50 billion.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Arasaratnam managed his own practice advising companies and private equity funds on M&A transactions, merger integration and raising capital. He previously was a Director of Corporate Strategy in Canada at BlackRock and spent more than 13 years at Deloitte, including senior roles supporting Deloitte’s Private Equity practice in Canada.
The addition of Mr. Crawford and Mr. Arasaratnam builds on the growth and expansion of FTI Consulting’s Transaction Services practice. Earlier this year, Christopher Lee relocated to the firm’s San Francisco office, where he now provides local coverage for deals and private equity clients and partners with the firm’s Telecom, Media & Technology practice.
