FTI Consulting Expands Northern Footprint With Leeds Office
Senior Hire and Team Moves Anchor Growth Plan for New Office
Leeds, 1 June 2026 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced plans for a new office in Leeds, England, and the appointment of Matt McErlane as a Managing Director in its Corporate Finance segment. The dual milestone strengthens the firm’s presence across the North of England, with the Leeds office providing integrated restructuring and debt advisory services to support the mid-market alongside the firm’s established Manchester office.
Mr. McErlane brings more than 10 years of restructuring and turnaround advisory experience across a broad range of restructuring and special situations assignments. He has led large corporate mandates and regional mid-market situations for clients across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on retail and consumer-facing businesses.
In his role at FTI Consulting, Mr. McErlane will help companies, as well as their lenders, sponsors and other stakeholders, develop and execute strategies that address complex financial and operational challenges.

As part of the strategic expansion, Managing Directors Emma Lister from FTI Consulting’s Manchester office, along with Richard Hall from the London office, will relocate to strengthen the firm’s Leeds-based team, with more new hires to join in the near future. The team will initially operate from offices on Boar Lane.
