He focuses on advising organizations in digital strategy, blueprinting, planning and delivering large, complex digital transformation programs spanning maturity assessments, consumer facing product development, B2B platforms, machine learning & data engineering, organizational change, modernization of IT ecosystems and backend infrastructure that generate billions in annual revenues.
With a breadth of industry knowledge, Mr. Gupta's expertise spans across retail, consumer products, healthcare, technology, travel & hospitality, financial services and agribusiness. Mr. Gupta has led multiple award winning, high stakes, high impact digital assignments helping some of the world’s leading companies achieve their strategic goals, including Comcast, Roche-Genentech, Sony, Kaiser Permanente, Verizon, Hawaiian Airlines, Target, Medtronic, UnitedHealthCare, Optum, Kraft-Heinz and Cargill. Highlights of his early work include the launch of sonystyle.com, Sony Electronic’s flagship direct to consumer experience, leading the redesign and launch of Fandango.com during its acquisition by Comcast, relaunch of Hawaiian Airlines’ digital channel and the design and launch of Roche-Genentech’s new patient experience center.
More recently, Mr. Gupta co-led the launch of a national fortune 100 retailer’s digital business exiting them from Amazon’s managed partnership which was the largest ecommerce implementation of its time. This was followed by a multi-year transformation program fully overhauling and transforming their digital commerce business and in-store digital assets. This included migrating them to a bespoke, open source, modularized microservices based, cloud native platform ridding them off all licensed products, launching multiple new mobile products to bridge physical in-store and digital customer experience and seeding and tooling their data sciences and personalization COE to deliver continuous data driven product optimization driving 40% conversion increase YoY.
Mr. Gupta has advised UnitedHealth Group on accelerating adoption of customer-centric digital strategies for their payer business and led the reorganization of UnitedHealthcare’s member experience organization into new digital product teams. For one of the world’s largest agribusinesses he led the transformation program to establish their global digital experience office, first blueprinting and rolling out their cloud native digital experience platform across the Americas, LATAM, APAC and EMEA and subsequently launching and commercializing over a dozen concurrent B2B digital products and experiences in 20+ countries while executing enterprise wide customer data platform, IT modernization and DevOps.
Mr. Gupta is a frequent speaker at industry events. Recently he was invited to speak at Adobe Digital Summit and Salesforce Dreamforce on the ongoing digital acceleration at global conglomerates. His work has led to alliance and industry recognition as covered by Gartner, IDC, Forrester, Adobe and Salesforce.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Gupta was an Executive Partner at Publicis Sapient in San Francisco and most recently in Minneapolis. He was the managing director for Sapient’s digital transformation business in the upper Midwest. Before that, Mr. Gupta was co-founder of a technology startup that specialized in building high performance internet platforms and was acquired by a leading organization in Asia.
