Bertrand Troiano

Bertrand Troiano is an expert in strategic advisory, business valuation, financial, operational and commercial due diligence on power, renewables and energy transition solutions in cyclical and capital-intensive industries. Mr. Troiano has extensive experience in M&A, financial restructuring and operational turnaround in complex and fast growth environments in multiple geographies. He is expert at engaging with key stakeholders in complex situations, including governments and sovereign funds.

Mr. Troiano has more than 20 years of management and advisory experience across large and small companies in energy, metals and mining, commodity trading, specialty chemicals, packaging and other cyclical industries. Mr. Troiano has led engagements globally in the clean energy, recycling, steel, electric vehicle manufacturing, automotive components and battery materials, semiconductors, mineral drilling, manufacturing and chemical industries.

Mr. Troiano’s experience spans project finance, transaction and strategic advisory, restructuring advisory, operational turnaround, industry and market analyses, financial and operational due diligence and company valuations. He has advised numerous corporations and investors on energy transition strategies and bespoke solutions, ranging from critical material sourcing to new capital investments for the decarbonization of heavy industries.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Troiano worked for Rio Tinto and Alcan Inc. in the United States, Canada, Europe and China. Previously, he worked in corporate banking with BNP-Paribas in Japan.
