Borja de Pedro

Borja de Pedro is a Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting, based in Madrid. Borja specializes in advising global financial institutions and multinational organizations on public policy, regulatory strategy and government relations.

Borja leads initiatives across banking, capital markets, wealth and asset management, insurance, payments and financial market infrastructure and defense financing. With extensive experience in navigating complex political and regulatory landscapes, he helps clients anticipate policy developments, define strategic positioning and engage effectively with key external stakeholders, public authorities and industry associations.

Prior to returning to FTI Consulting, Borja worked in Public Policy at Santander Bank, where he provided thought leadership on global financial regulation and market infrastructure issues. He has also represented major institutions in leading trade bodies, including the European Banking Federation, the Association for Financial Markets in Europe, the Institute of International Finance, the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations and the Spanish Banking Association. Additionally, his background includes public sector service at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he worked at the Permanent Mission of Spain to the United Nations Office in Geneva.
