About Enrique
Enrique Glotzer is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Power, Renewables & Energy Transition practice. Over his more than 20-year career, Mr. Glotzer has developed a broad expertise in strategy, mergers and integrations (“M&A”), sustainability, project finance and market advisory, focusing especially on areas such as e-Mobility, renewable power, utilities, advanced nuclear, hydrogen and smart buildings technology.
Mr. Glotzer's experience is characterized by advising executives, managing teams and implementing strategic, financial and sustainability programs for a range of clients including utilities, investors, government bodies and corporations. His work has taken him across various international markets, notably North America, Europe and Latin America.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Glotzer was a principal at CRA’s energy practice in both New York and London. In this role, he was involved in high-profile projects with energy firms, utilities, technology and industrial companies, nuclear developers, government agencies, infrastructure funds and private equity firms. Prior to CRA, co-founded a project finance firm in Brazil focused on commercial and industrial solar projects.
In a prior role at Anglo American, a global mining company, Mr. Glotzer was instrumental in setting up a new strategy department for the iron ore business in Brazil. His responsibilities included introducing new management processes, linking financial planning between corporate and the business unit and developing market strategies. Additionally, he played key roles in the divestment of an iron ore mine in Brazil and in building the price forecasting system for the copper business unit.
Mr. Glotzer began his consulting career at Marakon, a top-tier strategy consultancy in New York, where he worked on corporate strategy projects for major companies in diverse sectors including financial services, industrials, and energy.
Relevant Experience:
- Led several buy-side commercial due diligence efforts, including providing insights on market dynamics, competitive landscapes, business economics, company valuation and technology assessments, for targets such as a European smart meter and smart grid manufacturer, a U.S.-based electric transportation company, a U.S. community solar developer, a South American fuels pipeline company and a European electric commercial fleet operator.
- Led a comprehensive global market assessment and strategic roadmap for an advanced nuclear reactor developer, supporting capital raising efforts.
- Led a broad strategy program for a global smart building technology firm, including market assessment, commercial model development, offering strategy and management model process redesign.
- Led portfolio and M&A strategy for a top-five U.S. utility company.
- Led the U.S. market entry strategy for a large natural gas midstream player.
- Led the global hydrogen fuel cell strategy for major technology player based in Germany.
- Produced a comprehensive market analysis and competition evaluation report of the EV charging sector across all 27 European Union nations for the European Commission.
- Testified at the Florida Public Utility Commission on the potential impacts of electricity market deregulation proposals.
