Keith Constance

Keith Constance is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Risk & Investigations practice and is based in Chicago. Mr. Constance has more than a decade of experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigations and litigation support, including supporting clients facing inquiries by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice. His investigative and forensic accounting work has involved a wide range of financial reporting and fraud matters.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Constance spent six years as a Senior Accountant in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, where he conducted numerous investigations into potential violations of the federal securities laws, dealing with a wide range of subject matters, such as financial reporting fraud, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (“PCAOB”) audit failures, Ponzi schemes, market manipulation and violations by registered investment advisers and broker dealers. His investigative work has involved a number of accounting, disclosure and audit issues, including revenue recognition, auditor independence, related party transactions, contingent liabilities, segment reporting, non-GAAP metrics and fair value measurements. During his time at the SEC, Mr. Constance was a member of several litigation teams and has testified in U.S. District Court.

Prior to his work at the SEC, Mr. Constance was a Manager at Credibility International, where he worked on a number of high-profile SEC investigations, disputes and financial reporting matters. Mr. Constance began his career in KPMG’s Forensic Accounting practice, where he assisted clients in connection with multiple disputes and investigations, including AML and FCPA investigations and gap analyses.

Mr. Constance holds an M.A. in accountancy and a B.S. in mathematics from The College of William & Mary. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
