About Sanjeev
Sanjeev Bahl’s work at FTI Consulting has focused on the quantification of damages and lost profits in the energy sector, including those arising from BIT arbitration, alleged misconduct, and breach of contract. In addition, Sanjeev is expanding the firm’s expertise in oilfield services, transition fuels, CCUS and renewables.
Previous experiences include contributing to the preparation of expert reports and supporting testifying experts before LCIA, UNCITRAL, PCA and SIAC Tribunals, including four matters with claimed quantum in excess of USD $1 billion.
Sanjeev joined the business in 2019, prior to which he was an energy sector equity analyst at Credit Suisse, Numis Securities and Edison Group. During this time, he valued companies and assets across the energy sector value chain (including upstream, downstream, services and industrials) and spanning over 35 countries. Sanjeev has oil and gas sector practical experience having worked as at Chartered Engineer in both engineering and commercial roles.
Prior to starting Sanjeev’s career, he achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College London. Whilst at ExxonMobil he completed a 3-year, part time executive programme at the London Business School and courses in profitability analysis at the Upstream Research Centre, Houston.
