FTI Consulting was engaged by a global marketing services provider to proactively evaluate several AI-driven products targeted at financial institutions seeking to comply with evolving regulatory requirements and to provide recommendations with a focus on minimizing AI bias.
Our Impact
- In collaboration with outside counsel, FTI Consulting proposed recommendations for data management and model validation best practices to improve the organization’s preexisting AI governance approach.
 - The team proposed steps for mitigating potential data and algorithmic biases identified during their assessment.
 - Experts provided the client with detailed presentations outlining the team’s findings, recommendations and next steps for implementation.
 
Our Role
- The team analyzed the AI model features and engineering processes, calculating and assessing feature importance and profiling their training, testing and output data.
 - Our experts reviewed AI model-specific governance, policies and controls and the overall model lifecycle management, including model selection, validation and monitoring.
