FTI Consulting was engaged by a men’s personal care products company to provide interim Chief Information Officer (“CIO”) support, assist with merger integration following the acquisition of a new product line and execute process improvement of the company’s cloud-based enterprise resource planning software (“ERP”).
Our Impact:
- FTI Consulting’s interim CIO support led to a new IT organization while a permanent CIO was recruited.
- Our experts’ timely and under-budget integration of a new product company into the client’s platform allowed for an expansion of its product portfolio.
- The team’s IT global control (“ITGC”) mitigation effort resulted in improved IT security and a reduction to business risk, as well as savings in insurance rates.
- FTI Consulting’s process improvement of the client’s ERP software allowed the client to avoid $1 million in damages and customer chargebacks for order inaccuracy.
Our Role:
- FTI Consulting provided interim CIO expertise to operate IT for more than seven months while the client recruited a permanent CIO.
- Our interim CIO and merger integration experts led the migration of an acquired new product company into the client’s technology platform.
- The team designed an IT global controls schema to align business and IT systems roles, which involved scanning current access, identifying areas of risk and prioritizing the remediation effort.
- FTI Consulting worked with the company and a third-party systems integrator to design and execute process improvements in several areas experiencing customer chargebacks and damage to the customer experience.
