Thomas Hutin has 25 years of cybersecurity experience, specifically within aerospace and defence, public sector, finance, industry, transports, energy and resources.
Mr. Hutin leads FTI Consulting’s French Cybersecurity practice, with strong expertise in cybersecurity audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, red teaming, cyber incident response, and managed security services, cyber threat intelligence especially.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Hutin served as a Partner in the Cyber Risk Services practice in a “Big Four”. During his tenure, he supported clients in their cybersecurity journey from strategy, roadmap, and operating model to incident response and throughout the M&A process. There he specialised in energy and resources, industry, transport, automotive, finance, and technology.
Before this, Mr. Hutin was a Director at Thales, where he developed cybersecurity consulting for the public sector and critical operators and where he led their 'Cybersecurity Transformation’ plan, a strategic initiative that leveraged cybersecurity as a competitive advantage for all Thales civil activities.
Elected Chairman of the Civil Aviation Cybersecurity Task Force of AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) in 2015, Mr. Hutin actively participated to the definition of the European Industry position and propositions to address the cybersecurity challenges of Air Transport.
In 2000, Mr. Hutin joined Baltimore Technologies (European leader of asymmetric cryptography) and held several positions: presales manager for France, for Southern Europe and for Continental Europe before taking over responsibility for France as Country Manager.
Mr. Hutin previously was appointed Information Security Officer for the French Presidency (Elysée).
Mr. Hutin has an Engineering Degree in Information Technology from ISEP and a Master Degree in Cybersecurity & Cyberdefence from TELECOM PARIS.
