Omnicom pursued the largest acquisition in advertising history when it announced its intent to acquire Interpublic Group (“IPG”) in December 2024. To make this complex transaction work required a unique combination of deep functional expertise in transaction fundamentals, including finance, accounting, competition law and economics and strategic communications, all under high scrutiny and intense media attention.

Supported the internal and external launch of the Omnicom-IPG combined company’s value proposition, strategy and organizational structures, enabling leaders to execute integration priorities and address stakeholders.
Expert economists from FTI Consulting subsidiary Compass Lexecon analyzed Omnicom and IPG internal client and industry competition data, prepared numerous competition analyses and assisted with legal submissions to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the Competition Bureau of Canada.
